Recorded live with a studio audience at Tank Recording Studio on the Winter Solstice in 2024, Simple Things includes holiday classics like Let It Snow, O Holy Night, Angles We Have Heard on High, and Deck the Halls along with modern holiday songs Blue Christmas and White Christmas, and EmaLou’s version of The Holly & The Ivy with updated lyrics, as well as two originals written by band members Emma Cook and Alayna Howard, the title track Simple Things and Bring Your Light - written to celebrate the Winter Solstice in our home state of Vermont.

This live recording features the full Ema Lou & The Beat trio: Alayna Howard on vocals, Emma Cook on vocals, guitar, and piano, Andy Feltus on drums, along with special guest Lincoln Sprague on bass and piano.
